Think about your teeth for example. Since the time you were young your parents and dentist have been telling you to brush and floss your teeth. If you don't you'll end up with cavities. Most of us understand this concept, it's something we've known our entire lives. A few minutes a day brushing and flossing can save you from years of dental work. But, once you have decay then you can't undo it, only remove it.

The spine is much the same. If you take good care of your spine and maintain it with stretching, exercise, avoiding injuries and getting good, quality chiropractic care, you will likely have a healthy spine for a very long time.
